It appears that I comment a day or so behind because you didn't reply to my last one. All I have to say is go to the Dali Museum. I went when I was there in 2001 and it was one of the best collections that I have ever seen. His range of mediums is amazing. If you are running short on funds let me know and we will discuss how to get you in. It is worth more than the 25 quid it costs for entry. Make sure you have at least 3 hours though. My travel partner tried to rush us through it so I made her sit in the coffee shop at the end while I took my time. I am enjoying reading this because it is bringing back a ton of memories about my 2+ weeks in London when I was 21. Continue having fun! Love, Dan
Sorry for missing your earlier comment Danny. I just figured out how to turn on the e-mail notifications! I do plan on going to the Dali exhibit (possibly even this afternoon), and I have realized that I need to make it happen! So, I will! Thanks for the advice.
I'm glad that this is reminding you about your trip to London. We're in a pretty similar place in our lives in a way. Did you make it over to the east side while you were here? The scene over there can't be topped. (That's where we saw found the Banksy!)
Hope all is well for you, and am glad you're reading the blog!! Lovelovelove
Unfortunately I did not get to spend much time in the east side. The people on my trip were not very adventurous and not very artistic. Being that I went to Emory they were more interested in shopping and spending money than experiencing London for what it is. To give you a little feeling of how they acted, they never got over the fact that there was no ice for their drinks and it killed them not to be served hand and foot at the restaurants. They could not slow down and just enjoy the experience. I am jealous that you are there with fellow art lovers. Seems like you are having a more free spirited trip than I did. Dan
Believe it or not, most of the people in advertising here are not adventurous or artsy. (they were confused that we went out and found an agency on our own!!) It's a very strange mix. Some people have been complaining that we've visited too many museums... that is strange to me. Thankfully though I have found a few people with the same travel mentality as me - no point in sitting around talking about what you could be doing. Oh well, it's incredible that we still have another week and a little here! I'm so happy
Ah - Magma books and Picture London. Cna't wait for the explanation. And this time I only checked one box.
